Overalls & Snapbacks

Overalls!!!! I can't get enough. Being a 90's kid myself, I'm so into this 90's trend. I've been seeing street wear looks all over. I'm normally so girly and hate "casual" looking clothes, but lately I've been loving my converse & baseball caps for a cute & laid back look. I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of short overalls and found these guys at American Apparel. It can be hard finding ones that fit and are somewhat flattering. I'm normally a small but opted to go XS on these. And don't even get me started on these shoes! I'm obsessed. They are so unique and fun, but also extremely comfortable. I wore them the entire WWDmagic show walking around for two days straight and they didn't bother me at all. Also got some fun freebies when the ladies at the Jeffrey Campbell booth saw me rocking them!

Summer in the City

Recently scored this Free People skirt at buffalo exchange for $30! A maxi skirt made of velvet & silk?!  I'm in love. I paired it with this top crop from Urban & Dolce Vida sandals.  I've been so into the whole mid drift bearing trend. Perfect for a hot summer in Los Angeles. Free People is definitely one of my all time favorites. Last week I went to a Free People party in Hollywood. It's crazy how often they have fashion events in LA.

Pattern Play

Below are some photos from a photoshoot I directed & styled for a client. The theme was patterns! This shoot showcases some really great prints. One thing I really focused on is how to mix and match different patterns. This can be pretty tricky and times, but when done well is a killer look. Don't be afraid to mix is all, weather it be dots, floral, stripes, or animal print. I think the key to successfully pulling of this look is a unifying color story. If you look at the outfit I paired below you will notice that even though the pattern's are very different, the similar color palate bring them together. Now go try it for yourself!
